Anyone out there a fan?

Just a shame they are only known for 2 songs. A lot of their back catalog is smokin'

i always thought they were a decent band. Never got that deep into them to go deeper into the catalog though, maybe I missed something there. I'll now have to go check them out further.

Always liked "The Boys are Back in Town" but never really followed them. My older brother tho-fucking loved them.

This is going to sound like a dig at them, but it's not. The greatest thing about Thin Lizzy and to come out of TL was John Sykes. The guy is one of the best...

I really don't know anything about them other than The Boys Are Back in Town and that Steve Perry put the little extra thing at the end of Young Hearts Forever in there in honor of a singer from that band who died.

Believe it or not, I'm just getting into them the last few months...have Black Rose and what I think is a boot, live in Philly from '77. They were incredible...one of those bands that I wish I could have seen.

I would be interested in hearing more from them. Which album do you recommend, AR?

I'll post some detailed recommendations later this evening. I plan on downing a few and jamming to some of their stuff later on.

Bad Reputation - excellent track. I am convinced with Phil Lynnot's talent and looks that he could have broken it eventually if he could have stayed clean. The guy was ahead of his time and check out that twin lead guitar.

THIN LIZZY :

July , 1978.
City : St. Petersburg, Florida
The Venue : Bayfront Civic Center
Cause: opening act for Journey

02' ?.....FRONT FUCKING ROW.....

Phil Lynott WAS Thin Lizzy, and they put on a set, I STILL remember like it was yesterday. The red strobes on "Jailbreak", the racous version of "The Boys are Back In Town", all of it. It was FUCKIN FABULOUS.

Needless to say, this post shows my age, ( oh what the fuck, like I care ) but I WAS THERE !!!!

Love that fuckin' band to this very day.

02'...out !
