Memorial Day!

Anyone got any exciting plans for this Memorial day??

Isn't your Memorial Day next Monday?
Here today it's Victoria Day and this past weekend is
what us Canucks call May 2-4 weekend, the kick off to summers start.
I was planning on being tent bound with our Son's but it was to dang cold!
The sun is shinning and though it's still quite nippley we will have a BBQ later today.
I have high hopes for tent sleeps come Friday or Saturday night though.

Yup Memorial day is next weekend - I dont know what we are doing yet. I'd love to go camping!

here's my plan..............a hot weekend to jumpstart the tan for the summer. probably a bbq and some refreshment also.

Leaving Friday headed to Charlotte to the Coke 600 NASCAR race. Will be campimg at the track until Monday.

Well... We will probably be out house hunting again. I had no idea buying a house could be such a pain in the ass...

No work for once... I have zero idea what to do with myself. Beach maybe.

Well, let's see...

My daughter is in a talent show at school on Friday evening. Saturday, my other daughter has a softball game, my son is competing in the regional track meet, and my daughter and son will later march in the Memorial Day parade. Not much lined up for Sunday, but my daughter is scheduled to have another ball game on Monday.

Now, the woman who is scheduled to take call this weekend at work is on sick leave, so they need folks to agree to do that, or to work some over the weekend. I've pulled a LOT of overtime lately and my DON says I shouldn't pull any shifts, but I might wind up working some over the holiday.

I've got a bathroom renovation that I want to get started on, & we'll grill out at some point. Typical wild & wooly weekend in our home.

I hope everyone has a wonderful and SAFE extended weekend!!!

We're cooking hamburgers and hotdogs on the grill and my husband is frying fish in the gas frying cooker thing that he has. I'm making potatoe salad, cole slaw, baked beans and hotdog chili. My daughters and their families are coming over and anyone who stops by is welcome.

Come on down y'all.

I plan to visit my homeland and drink plenty of Hazwanja (fermented yak urine), and then plan to chow down on some grilled goat meat:

No plans here really, the kids have a 5 day weekend so it may be day trips here and there. Today is the zoo. Yay.

Memorial Day Weekend:

Friday - drink beer/surf net. No fun with the wife as it's that time of the month
Saturday - Car Wash, purchase a new set of tires/car stereo. Go home- drink beer
Sunday - Over 30 league baseball game. 1 to 4pm. Finish game, drink beer with team
Monday - Memorial Day - cookout. Drink beer.

Nice to read what you all are gonna be up to come 5pm today......

ohsherrie I so wish we were closer to where you are, I would so stop in for
some of that fish from the fryer.
My Father and Uncle bought one years ago for their annual moose hunting trips.
Many a wonderful waistline memories I have of Pickerel and Perch being plucked off
paper towel covered plates with our greedy grubs......never was left overs from those fish fry's.

Mindy you poor thing, most days I bet you feel like you live in a zoo and
now for an outing you must go visit another one.

Moonie - would love to go to the beach. It's only about an hour away. However, everybody and their monkey goes Memorial Day weekend. PLUS, gas prices are out of hand. My realtor called to postpone our house hunt until Monday, so I will be plenty perky about it then!!

Ms M now that you and Tony won't be house hunting what will you do with your weekend

We thought we were doing dinner with my parents this evening, but just found out that is tomorrow. So, since we've both had long weeks... A lot of this Oh, and probably some fun stuff thrown in

I'll be grilling tomorrow and Monday. Steaks (Marinated in Merlot and a few other spices) with fries (deep fryer), salad, sautaed mushrooms and onions.
Monday will just be burgers (with my spices) and hot dogs with corn on the cob, tater tots, and probably more salad.
Did I mention that I'd probably be drunk this entire weekend??

I think that will be me NEXT weekend. I'm done with school by 5:30 p.m. Friday - I will be home approximately 15 minutes after that with the bottle of Grey Goose in my hand.
