Wow, the seventies was *the key* period in my life and musical development. I would have to think long and hard to compile a list of favorites.
BTW, I'm not laughing. Rod Stewart was (and is) a great singer/performer (maybe not in a technical sense). When Steve Marriott and Peter Frampton left the Small Faces in '68, to form Humble Pie, Rod Stewart was hired to replace Marriott (in the Small Faces). The group eventually evolved into just "Rod Stewart and The Faces".
Stewart (a few years back) recorded an album of "standards", that has received much acclaim and accolades, even from non-rock fans.
