Favorite 80's band?

Whats your favorite? I don't know really... too many?!

I'd have to say either Def Leppard or Metallica. Hysteria along with And Justice For All kicked my ass at about the same time. ('87/'88)

My favorite band in the '80s was, big surprise, Journey. Escape and Frontiers, are you kidding me?

Running close behind at the time were Def Leppard and Aerosmith.

Journey, followed by VH. Then probably Aldo Nova, Zebra, and Kingdom Come. I also liked Ratt, Bon Jovi, and Def Leppard.

Duran Duran. I had some MAJOR hots for Simon LeBon!

Journey of course, but those like so many other good old days are over. I'm glad I still have the REAL music to help me remember them.

Of course it was Journey. I also liked Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, and the Cutting Crew. I actually didn't get into Metallica until the Black Album. Then I went back and realized their best album by far was Master of Puppets!

Followed VERY closely by Ride The Lightning. KICK ASS ALBUM. Can't beat Creeping Death.

I had the same type of experience with Metallica, Greg. Did hear much of them until the black album, then went back and filled in on what I had missed. Always liked "Fade To Black".

journey, foreigner, def leppard, reo speedwagon, bryan adams (yeah i know he's not a band but he was huge in the 80's)

then i graduated high school and got sucked into the whole club craze............thank god i was saved in the 90's.

Yeah, Creeping Death rocks! I am really holding out hope that their new album will be a return of the old sound. Anything will be better than St. Anger.

I think I agree with ya there, Frank. Saw them numerous times and, aside from their last outing together , they were always incredible. My first time was at the Monsters of Rock show (for 'OU812') with Kingdom Come, Metallica, Dokken, and the Scorpions at Giants Stadium. Simply fantastic show!
